Desert Island Necessity: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

For those who just read my Perfect Winged Eyeliner tutorial, you are a lucky bunch. You had the opportunity to see the Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner Pen in Trooper in action. It applies very smoothly, dries quickly with minimal bleeding, and leaves a slightly glossy, carbon-black finish.

As seen in my previous post.

Pretty fly, right? I did a small, delicate wing for that look, but you can go as subtle or as bold as you want with this product. Not to mention, the pen tip is fantastically maneuverable and the formula is endlessly buildable.

I got y’all some pretty swatches.

If the product formulation and application weren’t enough to win you over, maybe you should revisit the title: the word TATTOO is right in there, plain as day. And that shit’s no joke. Waterproof, sweatproof, smudgeproof, basically life-proof. Unfortunately, I cannot cry on cue, so you won’t see how well this liner stands up to tears. However, I did have a pretty vigorous workout session. Let’s see that eyeliner again:

So sweaty. So fabulous.

And those swatches:

Only a little smudging after a lot of sweat, rubbing, and a post-workout snack.

Are you convinced yet?? Also, if black is not your thing, this liner comes in 4 wonderful colors (including “Lapdance,” a deep, plummy-purple shade with great color payoff that looks unbelievable on green and hazel eyes), all of which are available on Sephora’s website.*

*Though, to the best of my knowledge, they only carry the black Trooper shade in store.
